About Us

Hi,

I’m Jess. I co-founded Luvuna.

If you’re here, you’re probably a woman dealing with perimenopause, menopause, or the very annoying period where no one can tell you whether you are in one, the other, or both.

If you are not that woman, scram.

Unless you are a husband, son, daughter, cousin, friend, or someone trying to understand what a woman you love is dealing with. In that case, fine. Read on. But I have my eye on you...

Anyway, I started Luvuna because I went through it myself.

I tried a lot of things.

The hormone balance capsules. The menopause blends. Magnesium. Ashwagandha. Black cohosh. The products with long labels and very confident claims. Ugh.

I also tried the usual advice.

Pilates. More fruit. Quit carbs (lasted a week). Vegan, briefly and unsuccessfully. Cutting out alcohol. Less coffee. Earlier nights. More help with the kids. More sleep, somehow. Less stress, allegedly.

The list became embarrassing.

Some things helped a little. Most did not. And after a while, I realised I was not really following a plan. I was just buying things and hoping one of them would be the thing that worked.

That is a very expensive way to feel confused.

Over time, I started looking at perimenopause differently.

Perimenopause and menopause are not mistakes. They are biological transitions. Unpleasant, yes. Poorly explained, absolutely. But not random.

The question for me became less “How do I stop menopause?” and more “Why is this so sh*t?”

Because for a lot of women, it is not happening in isolation.

It is happening while you are working, raising kids, managing a home, helping parents, dealing with poor sleep, carrying stress, and still being expected to function normally.

Then our hormones start changing.

That combination matters.

This is the thinking behind Luvuna.

We are not here to tell you menopause can be avoided. It cannot.

We are not here to pretend one supplement fixes everything. It does not.

We make supplements that support the areas women often struggle with during this stage: stress, sleep, mood, focus, and temperature comfort.

That sounds simple. It should be simple. But most products I found were either vague, underdosed, or trying to do too many things badly.

My background is in pharmaceuticals, so I did not want to make another pretty bottle with a weak formula inside.

I wanted Luvuna to be properly built.

We work with qualified practitioners, including naturopaths and doctors. We review the research before choosing ingredients, including clinical studies and review papers where they are available. We look at dose, safety, traditional use where relevant, and whether the ingredients make sense together.

Then we ask the basic questions.

Is this ingredient doing something useful?

Is the dose meaningful?

Is it appropriate for the women taking it?

Can we explain why it is there without making things up?

Would I be comfortable taking it myself?

If the answer is no, it does not go in.

We do not use proprietary blends.

We do not hide doses.

We do not add ingredients just because they look good on a label.

We third-party test our batches. We inspect our factories.

We use trusted manufacturing partners with proper quality standards.

That is the standard we wanted from the beginning.

Luvuna is for women who are tired of being dismissed, but also tired of being sold nonsense.

You do not need another brand giving you vague promises in soft colours.

You need products that are clear, properly formulated, and honest about what they are designed to support.

That is what we are building.

See you around.
